Techno tee
Presenting the Techno tee, a souvenir from our Gruppo 9999 'Space Electronic' event.
In the vibrant city of Florence in 1969, a group of avant-garde architects came together to challenge the established norms of architecture and design. Led by luminaries Giorgio Birelli, Carlo Caldini, Fabrizio Fiumi, and Paolo Galli, Gruppo 9999 embarked on a journey that would revolutionize the very essence of spatial design.
At the heart of their visionary exploration was "Space Electronic," an experimental dance club that stands as a testament to their audacious spirit. Inspired by legendary clubs like the Dom, the Electric Circus, and Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable, "Space Electronic" harnessed cutting-edge audiovisual technology to create a dynamic engine of cultural production. It brought together visual arts, music, spatial practices, and performance, redefining the boundaries of creativity and social interaction.
The project became an icon of the Radical Design movement, uniting the avant-garde in their pursuit of innovation. Gruppo 9999 transformed an ordinary discotheque into a multifunctional wonderland, a place where artistic expression knew no limits.
Today, Gruppo 9999's legacy inspires a new generation of designers and creatives who continue to push the boundaries of spatial design.
